EDRADOUR- Sassicaia Cask Finish

So I was going to write a post about this Scotch I got Curtie for Christmas but realized all I really have to say is Yummmmm.

I love me some scotch and I can taste some different notes here and there, but writing about it is beyond my appreciation level.

So thanks to the google machine, I found someone who did write about it and all I have to say is "Yah, what he just he said"

A different kind of Swing

So this isn't about Swing Kids although that post is still going strong internationally and this isn't about  the Granny Swinger neighbor, although she did come by and give Curtis some cookies braless while he was FinnySitting at my place this weekend.  This is about Johnny Walker Swing. I bought a bottle for Curtis as a thank you and rather than get him more tourist crap from the Caymans I took advantage of the duty free liquor store and found this gem.  Actually I shouldn't call it that since we haven't even tried it yet, but the bottle is a gem in itself. Cool factoid: the bottle swings... on purpose!

Johnnie Walker Swing is named for the distinctive bottle, in which an irregular bottom allows it to rock back and forth. It was created in 1932, blended specifically for trans-Atlantic travel, with the bottle being engineered to stay upright rather than crash onto the floor behind the bar on ships. The distinctive bottle has a convex base that allows it to rock back and forth when pushed or when the bar itself is moving around. It was Alexander II's last blend: it features a high proportion of Speyside malts, complemented by malts from the northern Highlands and Islay. It has no age declaration, this is not uncommon for the Johnnie Walker line of scotch whiskies.
