Bye Bye Ghetto Fab Bermuda Ave
Hey y'all,
got some excitin' news for ya. Well it's not exciting for you, but it is for me! Curtis and I are moving to our new place in the next couple of months and I'm crazy estatic!! I won't have to deal with Camo truck John, Granny Swinger, and the Diva formally known as Richard anymore! No more slamming doors, or 4am fire alarm systems waking me up.
Other than how pretty it is, here's my list of it's awesomeness:

I've been obssessed with these Richcraft Loft-Terrace Homes for ages and kept waiting for them to build new ones, which they were supposed to in the new Eastboro village or somewhere else out in Orleans but they never did. Anyways one came up to rent the other day and we just snatched it up. We weren't looking to move until May, and it kinda sucks having to do it all before the spring and so soon, but this place is totally worth it.
- It's so close to a Timmies that we can see it from our front door.
- Awesome highway access...nuff said
- 4 Bus routes so I don't have to Park & Hide at Blair anymore
- Hung Fatt is next door to us, never had it, but hello... it's called Hung Fat!
- Walking distance to a Dairy Queen, if I walk there, then its ok right?
- Our butcher is down the street... Tournedos Steak Thursdays!
- Mystery construction of 2 new stores next door, bc it's Ottawa you know one is a Shoppers!
- We're close to Orleans, but still not really in Orleans
- If we ever feel like going sliding, we're right next to Greens Creek hill without the stink
- If they ever bring the Gloucester Fair back to Gloucester, well we could walk to it.

Oh kwismuss Tree Oh kwismuss Tree...
X-mas decorations match my new sofas.
(I got them last year!)
Check out my home made lantern! Made from expensive dollar store scrap booking paper and scotch tape... actually I ran out of tape so i used the sticky paper from a lint brush! Classy!
I wanted to hang a star lantern above the tree but I was too cheap to buy one at Ikea! Kinda regretting it now. lol
I don't know if that's a partridge but I stuck in there anyways :)
Can't wait to see what the tree looks like with all the prezzies under it!

I know what you're thinking
And you're right... I totally need an area rug now.
As you can see, the Brick came through and delivered
the couches as promised between the hours of 2-5 yesterday. And when I say between 2-5pm, I literally mean 5 to 5pm. Anywho a Bubbles look/ sound alike came up to see the old couch, asked me what was wrong with it, it looks totally fine... Are you kidding me right now? If you don't like my answer are you going to refuse to bring up my new sofa's? Are we on that undercover boss show or something?
Anyways after some hooing and hawing they took the old couch and ottoman :(
My big plan of hiding it and the side chair didn't pan out... but it's totally fine because I love love love my new sofa's and love the fact that I will never ever have to deal with these people ever again so help me jah!

Seafoam is Sofa King Awesome
Thanks for your votes!
But I coulnd't wait a few days, I called the Brick last night and exchanged my Preston for the Seafoam. I'm really psyched about the switch and love the fact that if I hate the couches in a year from now I have you 7 to blame!
I'm just kidding, I love them too, I wouldn't have exchanged them otherwise. I just have to think outside the box for decorating ideas for the future. I'm leaning towards a touch of Orange and Grey in the futre abode. Until then, my current place is going to be girlie girl overkill. With purple walls and jazzy wallpaper, glitzy lamps and frilly pillows all I need is an ovulation calendar and tampon dispenser and I'd have the biggest man repellent the likes of this world has ever seen. Looks like we'll be hanging out in Curtis' man cave for awhile ;)
Delivery is this Saturday so I will for shiz post pics once I figure out how and where everything is going to go.

Sofa King Amazing!!!
So Curtis and I went to meet store manager Ken Thrasher at the Brick last night. We were pretty shocked to see that he was normal and our age-ish... well more Curt's age, as I'm a whole 5 years younger... But I digress.
Anyways I got the deal of a lifetime! Curtis and I sat on one of my selections while the guys were crunching numbers and came up with our own deals. Saying we won't accept anything under this, or if they come back with this amt I'm going to laugh in their faces...etc. Well we totally wasted our time because they came back with a really solid offer, I'm basically getting both couches for the price of one and I think I'm actually making money off this.
Here's the dilemma though, because you know there gotta be a dilemma in all this... I had two couch selections. One is that Preston collection I posted a while back... I'll repost below, and the other is I think the Cindy Crawford Aqua couches that have been there for a while but I still really like them and they're mega comfortable. Curtis preffered them as well but last night I only had eyes for Preston and this morning I can't seem to figure out why I would purposefully miss the opportunity to own seafoam colored sofa's with the hub's approval? Has my love for Preston skewed my perception?
I have a few days where I can change my mind... I'm creating a voting botton on the side bar and leaving it in the hands of you 5 loyal readers and you, the German and Nordic peeps that keep google imaging Swing Kids and landing on my blog for some reason. Chose wisely folks, the fate of my living room lies in your hands!

T-14 hrs
This is where I'll be!!
Okay, so maybe not at this resort exactly, or any resort for that matter... but chez mom and pops is pretty fancy and could be considered an all inclusive if you think about it!
Anyways, I'll be in the Caymans from Wednesday to Sunday so don't expect much blogging. But don't worry, I'll be right back to posting shiz on Monday and rubbing in how awesome my trip was ;)

****NEWSBREAK****
This Just in.........I'm getting a new couch!!
I'll spare you the details but I spoke to the store manager yesterday and he was so embarassed that he said to please come in and make a reselection and not to worry, he will make sure I get a really good deal so I don't end up having to pay more for my new sofa.
Here's what I'm getting to replace them:
(ignore the lame throw cushions)
